A fiber optic link between radar AN/MPQ-53 and control station AN/MSR-104 was developed and connected by fiber optic tactical cable.
The Patriot is a surface-to-air missile system used by the USA and allied nations; it is modular and highly mobile being deployed in less than 1 hour. The high mobility and operational mode can be improved by the fiber-optic connection between elements.
> EMI/RFI immunity.
> Vast connection distance allows remote location of the radar up to 120 Km away
from the command shelter.
> Beyond the Hill implementation of the Radar.
> Highly reliable data connection.
> Small dimension, no need to change the mechanical infrastructure.
> No need for technical support on-site, true “plug &play” installation.
> MTBF >10,000 Hours.
> Different types of Fiber Optic Cable can be implemented.
> Tactical Fiber Optic Cable Can overcome heavy Vehicle run over.
> Full transparency, no infection on the data signal.
> Can be installed by local technician staff.
> The units are compatible and interchangeable.
> The link can support all types of fiberoptic connectors and cables.
> Power supply 28Vdc/2A.
> The fiber optic cable can vary between Multi-Mode or Single Mode.
> Dimensions: 300mm X 300mm X 150mm
> Temperature: -32°C – +52°C.
> MIL-STD-810F Method 514.5, Category 4.
> MIL-STD-810F Method 516.5 (20g, 11ms).
> Documentation: User Manual, ATP, ATR
> Voice link over the fiber optic cable between the sites for technical team support.
> Remote Status reports of the fiber optic link state.
> S.P.G Can provide the Hole Link (tactical cable & units) as a Turn Key Solution.
